In the wrong hands, corporate annual reports can be dry, pale versions of the companies they represent. We helped Cognizant avoid that fate by emphasizing the company’s unique perspective on the future of work and its corporate social responsibility.
Client: Porsche North America
It can be hard to visualize exactly how a car—even one as breathtaking as a Porsche—can help market other products. So we created a web-based app to help agency and brand people do exactly that. In addition to incredible car shots, stunning scenery and consumer silhouettes, users can upload images of their own products, adjust the composition and share the layout with others to get their engines revved up.
One of the building blocks of the company’s Remote Infrastructure Management (RIM) offering is a toolset that monitors and adjusts a range of ITIS services. We helped explain the offering and the value proposition in a way that everyone could understand.
Client: Wenner Media
The cover of Rolling Stone occupies a unique place in pop culture. Which means that any app that allows regular folks to mess with that space needs to be treated carefully, respectfully…and be so cool that people clamor to get it like they would a pair of front-row tickets to the year’s hottest show.
Many of us can barely balance our checkbooks, never mind plan for the financial future. With Cashpath you can finally get a handle on your money. Its the app we’ve all been waiting for. Our challenge was to make it clear to those of us on the financially impaired spectrum what we’re selling.
Client: GE Holiday Lighting (Santa's Best Craft)
Ever see Christmas Vacation, when Clark Griswold gets into an obsessive game of one-upsmanship over whose house can suck more energy from the power grid? Well he and others like him drive the folks at GE Holiday Lighting to come up with ever more imaginative products. And that, in turn, drove us to create a site experience that served the needs of their consumer audiences.
Client: BasicTalk Phone Service
That was the challenge in bringing this how-to-video to life. Find a way to communicate what the product can do while simultaneously instructing the viewer how to do it. We literally went back to basics ourselves and told the story as simply as we could.
Client: Eastern Land Management
The new brand needed to do more than simply accommodate the company’s expanded range of services. It also had to sit comfortably alongside client brands and reflect the company’s increasingly significant role as consultant, advisor…partner. We created an identity that looks like it belongs among the area’s largest and most prestigious businesses.
Client: Porsche North America
Good works often go unnoticed, and that’s especially true of most nonprofits. But ETM is special, and we wanted to make sure everyone knew it. So we created a new identity as a way of treating the brand like a brand, and establishing a foundation on which to build future marketing efforts.
There are times where we get fed up with the "designs" we see out in the wild. It prompts us to take matters into our own hands...literally. Here's a few examples of how we think a little design makes it all better.

Client: Sotheby's International Realty
Perhaps the only thing more important to Sotheby’s than its properties is showcasing them on the company’s home page. We came up with a way to feature the most valuable and exclusive ones while providing one-click access to others in the most sought-after areas.
Client: Connolly Consulting
That’s what Connolly does—track down missing funds. And although their work speaks for itself (the company recovers about $1 billion for its clients every year), advertising and marketing help. From a new website to this piece that went out to prospects in finance and treasury to explain the value of finding money that’s gone missing. Seems like a no-brainer to us.
We packed all the things you get with your Vonage service and gave a quick tutorial on how easy it is to set up—in this fun little How-To Video.
Client: BasicTalk Phone Service
BasicTalk makes it easy for just about anyone to save money by dropping the phone company and signing on for VoIP service. It was our job to make it look like your mother-in-law could do it.
Client: Stanley Black & Decker
From breaking boulders to maintaining power grids and everything in between, Stanley Hydraulic Tools, a division of Stanley Black & Decker, makes things happen on job sites all around the world. Gabardine made it all come together in this product brochure which showcases their three lines of business.
Client: Burns Entertainment & Sports Marketing
The folks at Burns make entertainment and sports celebrities shine, even when they’re not in the spotlight. It’s a subtle, sophisticated art; one from which we drew inspiration to create a new identity. It reflects the star power of their clientele and the connections the company makes across industries and brands.
Client: Westport Library
Forget everything you think you know about libraries. Now picture a place where collaboration, critical thinking and community happen all under one roof. Now throw in a maker bot installation and you'll have Westport Library.
Client: Interactive Data Corp. (IDC)
IDC needed a better way to communicate the features, benefits and competitive value of its diverse offerings. So we dug deep, exploring the key points of differentiation and coming up with fresh visual ways to connect with prospective customers.
Client: Marsh Consulting
Sometimes the bigger the company, the harder it is for people to get the information they need. It makes having a world-class intranet all the more of a necessity. We created a dashboard for all things Marsh that keeps their employees in the know.
The three "R"s (Re-think, Re-invent, Re-Wire) were critical to taking Cognizant from an outsourcing IT company to a thought leader in the very competitive IT space. These newly re-designed home pages work to put Cognizant.com in the consideration set for world-class IT consulting and services.
